Prompted to create two booklets documenting myself drawing with a self-identified restraint, I chose to give myself a double challenge—to wake up to do the task at 4am, and to draw on tiny post-its with a giant chisel-tip Sharpie. In the book Radar (the name of my main alarm tone), I archive the still-life drawings themselves. In the book Night Owl (the other alarm tone I use), I show one night of the process (during which a friend woke up with me at 4am to take photos).
